MEET ANNA

A Thoughtful, Grounded Approach to Complex Health

Hi, I’m Anna MacWilliams.

I’m a degree-qualified naturopath, and I’ve spent the last seven years supporting children and adults with complex, often misunderstood health concerns.

My practice focuses on neuroimmune, gut, and nervous system health. I regularly work with people navigating conditions like PANS/PANDAS, ADHD, anxiety, chronic digestive issues, and mould-related illness.

What I offer goes far beyond supplement plans or test reviews. I help clients understand what’s going on in their body, feel more confident in their choices, and know they’re not alone in the process.

I see clients online across Australia through one-on-one consultations. My work is science-informed, emotionally supportive, and always tailored to the individual in front of me.

Why I Do This Work

Many of the people I work with have already seen multiple practitioners. They’ve been told things look normal, or that their concerns are "nothing to worry about," even when it’s obvious something deeper is going on.

I created this practice because I wanted to offer a different kind of support. I take the time to understand the full picture, ask the right questions, and translate complex health information into something clear and actionable.

This is a space where I listen closely, explain things plainly, and offer grounded guidance. I work with both children and adults who are navigating layered, often frustrating health journeys and want thoughtful, long-term support.

Alongside my work with children, I also support adults who are managing their own neurodivergence, chronic fatigue, nervous system issues, or long-standing gut problems.

Many of these clients are in the middle of piecing together a broader picture of what’s going on in their health, and I provide clinical insight as well as practical direction.

My further education & experience includes:

  • Mould Illness Practitioner Training with Dr Jill Crista

  • Co-Biome Microbiome Guardian Certification

  • MINDD Practitioner Training (MIF25)

  • Ongoing professional development in the areas of PANS/PANDAS, microbiome science, and neurodivergence-informed care.

  • I also bring lived experience as a parent, and I know firsthand how it feels to advocate for a child when answers are hard to find.

My Clinical Background

I completed my Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy at the Southern School of Natural Therapies and have been in clinical practice for over seven years.

In that time, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients, but over the past five years I’ve developed a strong focus on paediatric neuroimmune and gut-related conditions. I’ve supported many children and families navigating complex health challenges, particularly when symptoms affect behaviour, learning, digestion, and mood.

A key part of my development in this area came through working in the ReMed PANS clinic and being mentored by Keonie Moore, one of Australia’s leading naturopaths in paediatric care and PANS/PANDAS. That hands-on training shaped how I approach complexity with both clinical depth and emotional steadiness.

What I Believe

Who I Work With

Especially those with neuroimmune and nervous system conditions, including:

  • PANS/PANDAS

  • Tics and motor/vocal stimming

  • ADHD

  • Anxiety, irritability, or emotional dysregulation

  • Constipation, reflux, and gut health concerns

  • Sleep issues and immune challenges

  • Autism

  • Collagenous gastritis

Adults

Particularly those who identify as neurodivergent or are managing complex, chronic concerns, such as:

  • ADHD, Autism and nervous system dysregulation

  • Brain fog and fatigue

  • Mould-related illness

  • Digestive symptoms with unclear causes

  • Difficulty tolerating medications or supplements

  • Mental load and sensory overwhelm

If your story feels like it doesn’t quite fit the standard model — or if you’ve been told everything looks "fine" when you know it’s not — we may be a good fit.

What to Expect Working With Me

  • I take my time.

In our first consultation, I’ll listen carefully to your full story — medical, emotional, environmental and behavioural. I’ll ask questions others may not have asked before, and I’ll always be honest about what I see.

  • Functional testing

When appropriate, I’ll recommend functional testing to help us understand what’s really going on beneath the surface. This might include:

    - Nutrigenomics (DNA testing)

    - Comprehensive stool testing (gut microbiome)

    - Organic acid testing

    - Mould and mycotoxin screening

  • Personalised plans

From there, I’ll build a detailed, individualised plan that fits your reality, whether you’re juggling family, work, financial constraints, or just general burnout.

You’ll receive practical treatment guidance after each session, a comprehensive care plan after your second, and follow-up support as needed.

  • A supportive partnership

I often receive the feedback of how supported my clients feel when we first start working together. This isn’t just a clinic — it’s a partnership.
