Frequently Asked Questions
Navigating complex health can feel overwhelming. Below are some of the questions I’m most commonly asked — whether you're booking for yourself or your child.
If you're unsure about anything, you're always welcome to get in touch or book a free discovery call.
Getting Started
-
If you’ve been searching for someone who takes the time to understand the full picture — who listens, explains clearly, and offers thoughtful, step-by-step support — then we may be a good fit. I work with clients navigating complex or chronic issues, especially when conventional approaches haven’t brought clarity. You’re welcome to book a free discovery call if you’d like to talk things through before committing.
-
No referral is needed. You can book directly through my online booking system.
-
Yes. I offer a free 15-minute discovery call so we can talk briefly about what’s going on and whether I’m the right person to support you. No pressure, no hard sell.
-
Appointments can be booked online via my website. Once booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email and Zoom link, plus a reminder the day before your session.
-
No. All sessions are conducted online via Zoom. This allows for greater flexibility, privacy, and accessibility no matter where you’re located.
-
No, for younger children this is not necessary. I take the bulk of my information from the parent, and it is the parent who implements the plan. It’s also helpful to allow the parent the space and freedom to speak openly about their experience. For older teens it can be helpful to have them present for some or all of the consult especially if we need them to be involved with and be on board with the treatment.
The Consultation Process
-
Your first appointment is 70 minutes long. I’ll take a thorough history, ask about symptoms, environment, family background, nutrition, behaviour and more. This helps me get a full understanding of your or your child’s health picture.
-
After your first session, I’ll usually recommend an initial prescription and sometimes suggest functional testing. At your second session (45 minutes), I’ll present a detailed care plan outlining key findings, priorities, and next steps. If we order Nutrigenomics testing then our second appointment will be 60 minutes long to incorporate these findings.
-
Follow-up timing depends on your needs. Most clients have a 30 or 45-minute follow-up every few weeks in the early stages. This allows us to adjust the plan and support you through changes.
-
Yes, you're welcome to email me if you need to clarify something from your consult or to update me on any significant changes. I’ll do my best to reply within 3–5 business days. If your enquiry is complex or requires more detailed support, I may suggest bringing your next appointment forward so we can give it the time and care it deserves.
Conditions I Work With
-
I work with both children and adults. Many of the families I see are navigating neuroimmune, behavioural, or gut-related issues, while many adults come to me with nervous system dysregulation, neurodivergence, fatigue, or chronic symptoms that haven’t been explained elsewhere.
-
Yes. I’ve worked with many families navigating PANS and PANDAS. My training in this area includes mentoring under Keonie Moore, one of Australia’s leading practitioners in this space. I understand the complexity of these cases and use a systems-thinking approach that includes immune, gut, neurological and environmental factors.
-
Yes. I work with both children and adults who are neurodivergent. My approach is flexible, affirming, and takes sensory needs, overwhelm, executive function, and support systems into account.
-
Yes, especially when it's linked with immune, gut, nervous system or neurodevelopmental drivers. These are areas I work with often, and I aim to support both the child and the parent through the process.
Functional Testing
-
I use a range of functional tests depending on the case. Common tests include:
Nutrigenomics (DNA testing)
Comprehensive stool testing
Organic acid testing (OAT)
Mould and mycotoxin screening
-
Not always. Some clients choose to begin treatment without testing, while others find that testing gives clarity and direction. I’ll talk through your options and work with your preferences and budget.
-
Most tests are done at home using saliva, urine or stool samples. I coordinate delivery and return through the relevant lab and detailed instructions are provided
Treatment Plans and Supplements
-
Yes. After your second appointment, you’ll receive a personalised care plan that includes:
Summary of key findings
Treatment priorities
Supplement and herbal recommendations
Diet and lifestyle guidance
Future testing options
Suggested referrals if needed
-
I use reputable practitioner-only suppliers including Ariya and Vital.ly. I’ll set up your account and provide clear instructions. I also consider budget, sensory preferences, and ease of use when selecting products.
-
Yes, when appropriate. I use liquid herbal formulas tailored to the individual, and I may also recommend Australian Bush Flower Essences for emotional support when it feels relevant.
-
That’s very common, and I’ll always take it into account. I can suggest alternative forms (liquid, powders, dissolvables) and strategies that work for different sensory or behavioural needs.

No. I work with clients across Australia, including remote and regional areas. I do not currently take on overseas clients with the exception of New Zealand.
-
Yes. I’ll often communicate with or refer to paediatricians, GPs, psychologists, occupational therapists, or other health professionals when needed. Integrated care is important, and I aim to work alongside your existing team where possible.

Please feel free to get in touch if you’d like to discuss a potential collaboration. While my main focus is clinical work, I’m open to aligned opportunities that support education, awareness, or resource development around PANS, neurodivergence, or integrative health.
